INDUSTRY ESD
REDUCE THE RISK FOR
ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE
Humans are an excellent conductor of electricity. Just by walking around, we
can build up a static charge of several thousand volts. ESD related damage is a
common source of faults during the production of electronics. The right workwear
combined with other ESD certified equipment is the only way to guarantee that
your products are not exposed to discharge.
EPA ELECTROSTATIC PROTECTED AREA (EPA)
The EPA areas are set up to prevent ESD damage associated with the production of sensitive electronic
products. The EPA areas must be free of objects that can collect charge. There are usually requirements for the
ESD certification of all equipment, all materials and all fittings within the EPA areas. Our products for working in
EPA environments are approved by SP – the Technical Research Institute of Sweden (www.sp.se).
